if that is the case! the culprit deserve jail! thats is totally joke, i hope thats not the case! and it just looks alot worse than it is! but imo that would win the free anton in gas safe mag!

I posted a couple of weeks ago about boiler choice and on the recommendation of the installer went for a glowworm ultracom2 30cxi. Have had a few niggles which the installer has put down to the boiler, Glowworm have been brilliant sent a engineer the next day who said it was an installation issue, the installer has obviously not been so good.

The gloworm engineer should have picked this up aswell surely.

Definately! this bloke should be stopped right away, just imagine what else could be wrong on the system and what other states he has left behind him in the past.

You know what, looking at it again, I think you guys might be right about that first picture, it looks more than 45. I was thinking that the installer has just used the tape to stop the joints falling apart if they are push fit, but that joint doesn't look like an elbow. Either way though, tape shouldn't be used to secure it.

Exactly! I would have disconnected the boiler and called the pigs!! The flue is probably too long, No tape is allowed on ANY flue unless specified in M.I's, virtually unsupported, probably a soil fitting under all the ducttape as well! I would have Gas safe out first thing tomorrow and get the dogsnob locked up. Oh and open a window or 2 till you get it sorted!

my question is how long has this been like this, what other problems did you have was the boy gas safe do you have his gas save number and hope your dont mind me asking how much did he charge you

Thanks everyone for your prompt responses, I have turned off the boiler and before you ask the installer and company where both on the gas safe register. I'm not one for reporting people either as anyone can make a mistake; but will sleep on it overnight and decide in the morning

i predict the problems with the boiler due to the flue gases mixing with inlet,!!! :) due to DIY 70 degree bend or what ever it is, Has a proper vertical flue termination been fitted?

sorry buddie not report any one, your willing to let some one attempt to kill you and your family, there are putting lifes at risk

Honestly mate, get Gas safe out first thing. We all make mistakes but this is criminal!

there are no bends in that installation, it is extensions taped together by tape, what a complete joke. Keep the engineers details, arrange a free inspection from gas safe and get gas safe out to have a look and pass on engineers details to them, also turn off your boiler and don't use it until it is seen to.
