I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

My above comment was me messing mate. We all have off days, or in my case weeks 😂😂

But your right dumbo here forgot to add the 30 mm 😂

I've given over with the trims, weak points tbh IMO 🤷‍♂️

I don’t use internal corner trims, butt and scribe and then a minimal silicone bead is better I think.

However need trims on edges, although have you tried Aquamura, they do a 1200 board with one long edge finished the same as the surface - really neat job possible without a single trim used!

Yeah I use the end trims, just not the corners. Not convinced how water tight they are, the board only lips in 5mm or so. No haven't heard of them, tbh I always use MultiPanel as haven't had any issues with them. I'll have a look 👍🏻

That is a cracking cut mate. Did you do it yourself?

There’s a join at the top as the ceiling is 2.8m ish

Yes it’s taking too much time luckily I’m on day rate

Getting on top of this one now chaps it's also taking longer than it should luckily customer is cool about it . Kop

Was the pump hiding ?

Pump, wiring centre, 3 port all in dining room ceiling in a box as its exposed joists.
Upgrading cylinder to unvented and sealing the heating system. Moving to s plan with everything in the airing cupboard. Also getting rid of the surface mounted rad pipes and hot and cold to bathroom going under the floor.

Have to return in a few weeks when plastered and decorated to fit all new rads.

You been doing floor tiling, or am I missing something?

For certain customers yes. This was sort of a job that grew.
Started off moving the cloakroom ready for an extension next year. So tile cloakroom floor, wc and basin etc. Then it was we have these tiles for the hall but I dont want my husband to do them. So I cracked on.

Wouldn't generally just do a Tiling only job.

Managed to do the heat geek course that was a mind stretcher / opener

Do you feel like you know more stuff? Feel any better for it?

I’ve learnt a lot and it’s given me a good insight to what’s to come eventually eg heat pumps etc
