I'm trying to find a service manual for a TechFlow QT80-1 twin ended, positive head pump.

I'm currently stripping one to try and find the fault so I can order parts from TechFlow but running into difficulty as to how to get the pump apart.

I have both end covers off and have found some small plastic remains at one end. The impellers seem to be in good shape so I'm not sure what is the source of the plastic shards. Are there specialist tools needed to get the washers, springs etc off the motor spline?

K.

Just went back to the pump there and, after drying out a bit, the problem is pretty obvious. Looks like one of the impellers was grinding into the housing for some reason. I've attached a few photos.

Could this be because the retaining bolt on the plastic housing was over tightened? The housing/impeller on the other end of the pump is fine and yet is put together in exactly the same way.

it would have to be massivley over tightend and even then id be doubtfull more like spacer missing or gone crash bang wollop

There doesn't appear to be a spacer in the "good" end. I'm not certain if the "faulty" end should have one. I've shot an email off to TechFlow with the photos, so hopefully I'll get word back soon. I'll update when I do. Thanks for the advice.

Got a reply from Techflow. They will only sell/supply parts for an "in-house" repair or to an authorised service engineer.

Can anyone recommend a good website to source the parts I need? Thanks.
