called out today for a family of 3 plus 2 kiddies, one only 8 weeks old at risk of drowning as they were cut off by the tide. Our rescue was in full view of all the holiday makers who enjoyed a sea king working off a cliff edge in fairly horrendous conditions, hats off to the RAF this time though they got the kids and mum n granny, we grabbed dad.

I think the thanks should go to the crew of rescue 169 the yellow hairdrier, some of the best flying I've seen for a long time both in and out of the RN

I've carried out pre flight checks on a sea king before. Then got board and went for a ride in the back of a chinook! Best weekend ever!!

Kind of hope it is the last shout in her for you be nice that her last job is a success with a happy ending.

It was always a high 5 moment when you got a Navy call sign over the radio to come and pick you up!! These guys pick up in all weather! The army boys cry off if the Suns too bright let alone a bit of wind!!
