Do people use apps for this or a book. I have the 2011 edition of the design guide and on page 64 it say ' to find the calculation for flow rates do the calculation on page 63 section 13.9'. In the book on 63 there is no calculation and section 13.9 is on page 65 or 66 so missing the calculation. Any one else got the same in this edition?

I have the treloar book which has a good example but is anyone using other sources.

I also have the 2011 edition and it also says the calculation is on page 63 which it isn't.

Section 13.9 is on page 72 which does have a pressure loss calculation.

On page 72 it says to get my flow rates from worksheet 6 and pressure loss from 13.a. where do you find your flow rates to get the pressure loss

Flow rate = H/ (TD x SH) kg/s where

H is the heat output of the radiator and exposed pipe work in watts

TD is the Temperature difference between flow and return in degrees c

SH is the specific heat capacity of water in j/kg

Well done feller. Just found it this morning. That will help
