I’ve been having some issues with my heating system. I noticed that the overflow was intermittently dripping and saw on the tank that i should drain the system and then open the pressure relief valve to reestablish an air gap. However the relief valve was broken so i was unable to do so. After turning the water back on to fill the system I found that when I turn either the heating or the hot water on the boiler turns off after a few seconds. I’d like some advice on what’s happening now.
