Lads, im trying to find out a bit more about this and exactly what it does, im aware that its a couple hoses and the MagnaFilter unit.. But how does it replace and how is it better than a powerflush? Is this unit alone better than the standard powerflush machine?

Where is the pump to circulate the water in this unit?? Just looking to summarise all this info!

Not better than powerflush, differant.

You drain all rads down to a low level, with magnacleanse unit inline instead of magnaclean. Then run each radiator individually through it using the heating pump whilst agitating rad with a rad hammer to dislodge muck.

Better imho inline with a powerflushing unit.

What do u mean, powerflush the system with a magnaclean installed would be best?

By magnaclean i just mean the single MagnaFilter not the magnacleanse unit

Fitting a Magnaclean isn't better than a power flush. But you can get away without power flushing if you install one. Also by fitting one it's long term protection for the system. If you power flush and not fit a filter, the chances are no no one will top up the inhibitor and in few years be clogged up again.
Besides most modern boilers don't react well to to much inhibitor, specially Vaillants. So in summary fit a magna clean and forget.

When im fitting a new oil boiler then the cust doesnt get the option. I put a centramag on the estimate. If they query it then its a simple case of do they really want to jeopardise over 2k worth of boiler for an extra 100 quid.

Mag is a must on 1 pipe system as no matter what you flush with rads will stagnate. Remove and wash or replace

it relies on the boiler pump.
there are videos on youtube

I think he's talking about the magna clean not the magna cleanse. As in the in line filter you leave on permanently.

the magnacleanse is good, its not going to do all the jobs of a powerflushing machine but its works well. It will remove most magnetic corrosion that comes loose and can be moved by the central heating pumps flow. What it cant do is recreate the flow rates of a powerflush pump which increases the amount of moved corrosion, it wont remove the non magnetic debris as powerflush pump will. It limits the chemicals you can use to a degree, it cant descale a boiler and it cant dump untill the tds readings are good. The best solution is to use one along side a power flush pump. Its def alot better than a gravity/mains only flush.

Also Magnaclean can't take up a massive amount if space in your garage! I'm eager to test out the erminator when compete
