Hi, sorry if this has already been posted. When we flush any of our three toilets whether it be upstairs or downstairs the water pipes make a really loud groaning noise and rattle the pipes. It's like there is an air lock or something?!? Is there a way I can get rid of the terrible noise?? Any help would be great :)

Have you recently had any alterations to the pipework?

Any new filling valves in the cisterns?

What type of filling valves do you have in the cistern if they're not new?

I will go and take some pics of the cisterns and post them here. We had work done on one of the toilets last year but noise has only started about month ago

try to close the valve little, but probably will need to insert flow restrictor into the inlet of your fill valve.

If you have tanks in the loft then you might try replacing the part 2 valve sometimes these bounce all over the place as the tank fills causing water hammer in the pipes.
