Hi I'm new to fault finding and have come across this boiler which I haven't seen before.

- CH no problem
- DHW when the taps are mid - full no problem
- when DHW run at very low flow rate the boiler quickly displays the error code 1

What I have done:

- the temp differential between the flow & return is 18 degrees when at about 85 degrees & 6 degrees when cool
- I have removed DHW thermistor of the pipe and got the same issue
- Was thinking about checking the ohms but didn't know what valves should be, tried to call Halstead but the phone line indicated they were closed (it was only 4pm)
- The MIs state that the boiler will lock out when the temp reaches above 105 degree, when I had my probes on the flow & return the boiler was locking out at about 85 degrees

I'm thinking its the thermistors but don't want to change them if there ok.

Any suggestions, any help would be appreciated

If it was the plate h/e, wouldn't it lock out any time dhw was drawn from the taps

Halstead is glen Dimplex who charge 80p a minute to tell you what is in the MIs. They have no idea and no spares.
