hi,

i have not worked on this particular boiler before as its quite old, but a first for everything!....
i have cleaned the pilot and electrode, and the burner. The flame over most of the burner is good but by the pilot, the flame is yellow and high.

The spark gap is correct.

Do i need a new pilot/electrode or is there something else wrong?

with the flame so high, the front cover gets extremly hot, so the boiler is not in use at the moment.

thanks for replies.

send your GS details to Dan or Dave and ask the same question in the GSR only forum

If you have to change the pilot assy I'd get a pilot tube also they have a horrible habit of snapping being 6mm Ali

I'm pretty sure he's helping you to come to the conclusion yourself.
