Could anyone recommend a good cordless power drill / screwdriver that won't break the bank ..

milwaukee are great, ive had some v28 stuff for years and its still going strong....... shame i need to sell some of it to pay me bills.

make sure you get atleast a 3 year warranty, like bosch and milwaukee offer

Most of the plumbers on here will spend between £200 and £400 because we use our drills most days/on most jobs so our recommendations are based on those values.

An 18 volt drill is a fairly good choice as it's quite a step up from the amateur drills sold by the likes of Homebase, Focus DIY, etc.

Screwfix had some hitachi drills on offer for £100 the other day. I've an 18v hitachi combi and seems pretty good so far.
