Alright lads,

Probably a silly question, but how do i get the cartridge out of this 1/4 turn tap? I've taken off the cap and screw but don't know where to go from here. Have tried pulling the lever off the tap but am afraid of breaking it. Have looked at a good few videos but all the taps look different to mine. Pic below. Cheers

Looks like the spline is splitting open differing gaps on each quarter.

May be a new tap, spray some wd40 on spline and maybe try gentle heat on it from a hairdryer.

Yea, I agree it does look like some of the splines are pushed well open.
Maybe try gently tapping a flat screwdriver blade between tap head and each spline to push them towards centre a little to allow head to pull off?

Probably would be easier and as cheap to fit a brand new tap!

it pulls off.
but after you have done all that, looked all over online, gone to the merchant and had no luck finding a valve after 2 weeks, you wish you bought another tap as theres hundreds of the buggers.
and that is if its british!!

it just pulls off or lever in off, maybe a bit of wd on it,it is an ideal standard tap which most plumbers would know, parts quite easy to get
