Hi all,

My own toilet seats have started to discolour and the buffers are damaged, but I don’t know which make they are as they came with the house (new build). I’m after some replacements, but don’t want to spend too much. We only fit an Atlantic spa Carrara and matta at work and it’s Rubbish, so I have no other experience of a good seat. Any recommendations? Seen some twyford ones and ideal standard, but are there any others in the £20 ish price bracket that are decent?

Cheers

Doesn’t look too bad

'El Cheapo' toilet seats are not worth the hassle.

I replaced a couple of seats 2 weeks ago - with the soft closing types.
There is no weight in the plastic and the toilet seat closes to about 15 degrees and the lid to about 30 degrees. Both seats and within a few degrees of each other

I told the customer at the time, 'the hinges should loosen up over time - give it a couple of weeks'
A couple of weeks is up....and....guess what....seat and lid are in same positions.

Looking forward to tomorrow, trying to get my supplier to contact their supplier to organize a warranty call.

Thanks all, I’ve ordered the Twyford one’s, will let you know how they are/perform. I wanted cheaper as we’re planning to move house within the next year, already paying out for stuff, so trying to save where I can. Once we’ve moved, will probably look at dearer stuff, as we’ll hopefully be there for a good number of years.
