My plumber has changed the hot water pipes in the bathroom/kitchen
and they are now slimmer – diameter has been reduced from 30mm
pipes to 22mm and 15mm pipes too. Will there be any difference
to the water pressure because of this or any other noticeable change?

Hello,
I want to replace an old radiator in my daughter's room. It's size is 1600x600mm. A local plumber recommended to me a single panel 1100x500mm at about 2900btu and it seems to me it's much smaller.
The room size is 3.94 x 2.71 x 2.3 (LWH), 3.6m2 window area, double glazing, loft...

I'm moving away from installs and more into repairs and servicing. Atm I use my wickes wet and dry for everything but it's a faff carrying my tools, wet vac, dustsheet and forms in and out of every job.
Plus i'm downsizing the van to something smaller and more economical so it would be nice to...
Hi Guys,
I'm wondering what "smaller" tools will be come handy in the future. I've just bought myself the basic tools such as pipe cutters, 10 and 12 inch water pump pliers, shifters, pipe wrench, hammer, chisel, gas etc.
What other tools would you guys recommend, the smaller tools that come...
I am just installing an Intergas Compact SB40 boiler but the condensate trap protrudes about 15 cm below the bottom cover. It is unsightly and frankly a design nonsense. The other boilers in the range are all smaller and the condensate trap is also smaller and is concealed by the cover.
Do you...

Hi I'm doing up my house and I'm looking for a combi boiler, the space i want it to go in will only allow for a boiler 630mm in height if this is possible. Also I would like to know, do I need to leave 200mm clearance top and bottom. Thank you.
ok so the kitchen in a generally cold room in the house and seems like having the radiator doesnt make much difference.never really thought about it untill i went in next doors to change an iso valve. his kitchen was warmer off a smaller radiator.
so i was speaking to him and he said about 2...
European size or something?
Anyway previous plumber had managed to squeeze 5mm onto the trap spigot and jubilee clipped it's brains out. Hung on for a month and then popped off.
Not seen this before so don't know if what I did would be considered a temp or permanent fix. I left her to do "a...
Hi Guys, Please could someone help me with a query I have. I've currently got 1 long radiator (300mm x 2400mm) which I need to replace but can't find any with the same dimmensions. Is it possible to install 2 smaller rads (300mm x 1000mm) side by side, and how would I need to do it. Thanks for...
Does anyone know if you can get the below product in either 100mm or 200mm lengths. All the majors only seem to stock it in 300mm and 500m.
PlumbSure Flexi Comp Connector 15 x 15 x 500mm, 0000005272273
It is a female to female 15mm i'm after but 300mm is still a little too long.

Two questions here. I have bought a double rad with single fin which is 1800 x 600 and it produces 10k BTU's. When i boughti it ages ago and thought nothing of it, but since then i have come round to thinking single fin rads cant go that high. Or am i wrong here. It did say on the packaging...
Hi
Marmox Showerstone 1000 x 1000mm.
I need to fit a self supporting wet room shower tray to an 830mm x 1000 recess in our ensuite. I was wondering by how much you are able to cut the tray down and would this be the correct size for the job?
Many Thanks
Darren
Hi all, what's a good solution for fitting a radiator which is slightly smaller than the one that came out, is there a nice fitting that tails out of the radiator into a section of 15mm?!!!!
I came across some fitted by British Gas, real chunky connectors but they look too much for the job.
