Just over a year ago I had a leak on one of the valves on my Boilermate 2000, so it was drained down and a new valve fitted.
On drain down, the water looked quite clean.
British Gas did the job and refilled the tank, but with no inhibitor, as apparantly that 'isn't part of the job'. Also I...
Hi,
I fitted underfloor heating to my combi central heating system.
Since fitting it I have a loud noise like water whooshing through the rads. I have made several changes to try and cure the problem. It seems the most likely cause is air in the system.
I have drained the system several times...

I've just had a phone call from a customer I serviced their boiler and apparently since I went there it has been making horrendous noises.
Just looked through my diary and I went out there in September!
I think someone is after something for free!

A few years ago we had a new combination boiler installed by British gas
This involved moving it to a different place in the house
After the work the installer told me he had tapped into the existing water pipes nearer the new position of the boiler which had in fact reversed...

Hi all,
We turned our heating on yesterday for the first time in a few months, and now it won't turn off again.
It was turned on at the timer/control panel, but when it was turned off again at the panel, the boiler kept going and the radiators were still being fed hot water. (Hot water control...

The system has no pressure, if I try to increase it with the loop it does go up, but also starts to drop straight away and water leaks from the PRV and is a constant stream outside on the overflow.
There also seems to be no pressure at all in the expansion tank.
What pressure should I pump up...

Hi all,
I am looking at running the UFH for the first time since the tiles were laid two weeks ago. I am just confused as to the correct way to turn this on. The main manifold has always been set to 35c and at the moment there are no room stats linked to the UFH system in the two rooms...
Had a new WC fitted in downstairs cloakroom and we find the water in the pan to be murky in the mornings. Queried it with the plumber and he said there could be a blockage in the pipe to the sewer. Have checked and it does not appear to be that. Outlet from the pan appears to be a little...
