radiator valves
A thermostatic radiator valve (TRV) is a self-regulating valve fitted to hot water heating system radiator, to control the temperature of a room by changing the flow of hot water to the radiator.
I'm not a plumber but I'm hoping to get some advice. I need to replace a couple of radiator valves. The existing ones have the name CRESTA on them, and I am hoping someone would know which brand might be a direct replacement for them in terms of size and thread etc.
Hope someone has dealt with...

Does anyone have any experience with WiFi controlled radiator valves? I have an ageing central heating system in a very old house that isn't suitable for zoning without gutting the whole thing and starting again.
One way around it would be to control some of the radiators with a programmer...

Hi Perhaps i am missing something,
Say in a house some one puts on TRV on all the rads except the one where the room stat is, - how can this save money?
The boiler will always be on regardless of if the TRVs are open or shut - isnt it governed by timer and room stat for one room?
At a guess...

Hi,
I recently had my old radiators replaced with new ones - Quinn Compact. To accommodate old single-pipe system plumber had used special Giacomini valves and if I understood correctly - pressed fittings used on the joints were 16x12. The heating pipes are made from soft copper and are buried...

My mother needs a new boiler; her old one is over 40 years old. She has been told by a plumber that it is compulsory ie building regulations that she MUST have thermostatic valves fitted to all her radiators. Is this true?

Hi there,
I wonder if somebody could give me some help please?
I've just bought three of these TRVs to fit to upstairs radiators. I bought Drayton RT212s which are 15mm fittings.
The first radiator went fine. I simply removed the old style valve and attached the new TRV to the existing...
