power flush
Tidal power or tidal energy is harnessed by converting energy from tides into useful forms of power, mainly electricity using various methods.
Although not yet widely used, tidal energy has the potential for future electricity generation. Tides are more predictable than the wind and the sun. Among sources of renewable energy, tidal energy has traditionally suffered from relatively high cost and limited availability of sites with sufficiently high tidal ranges or flow velocities, thus constricting its total availability. However, many recent technological developments and improvements, both in design (e.g. dynamic tidal power, tidal lagoons) and turbine technology (e.g. new axial turbines, cross flow turbines), indicate that the total availability of tidal power may be much higher than previously assumed and that economic and environmental costs may be brought down to competitive levels.
Historically, tide mills have been used both in Europe and on the Atlantic coast of North America. The incoming water was contained in large storage ponds, and as the tide goes out, it turns waterwheels that use the mechanical power to produce mill grain. The earliest occurrences date from the Middle Ages, or even from Roman times. The process of using falling water and spinning turbines to create electricity was introduced in the U.S. and Europe in the 19th century.Electricity generation from marine technologies increased an estimated 16% in 2018 and an estimated 13% in 2019. Policies promoting R&D are needed to achieve further cost reductions and large-scale development. The world's first large-scale tidal power plant was the Rance Tidal Power Station in France, which became operational in 1966. It was the largest tidal power station in terms of output until Sihwa Lake Tidal Power Station opened in South Korea in August 2011. The Sihwa station uses sea wall defense barriers complete with 10 turbines generating 254 MW.
I have done a power flush and the mis said to run boiler at around 50degrees. However, when i turned it on it banged and rattled and then shut down. Is this due to flow or what? Any ideas would help.
A friend has been recommended a power flush by the plumber but he can't afford that. He is a DIY expert so was wondering is there a way to do a power flush on your own. Someone suggested getting a water pipe, taking the rads off and flushing each and every radiator thoroughly with water. Would...
Anybody offer any advice if it's wise, it needs doing, but iv never attempted it on a system with those awful double entry valves. The system also has 10mm to the radiators.

Hi everyone
I have been asked to powerflush a blocked microbore system that has 6mm 8mm and 10mm pipe work. The history behind the blockage is that another plumber drained down the system to fit thermostatic valves to two of the radiators. When he re-filled the system and when he turned it on...
Hello can anyone help? I have just had a worcester Bosch Greenstar Junior installed . Its a small property and only has 2 medium sized radiators and one very small one. My old boiler was a Vokera flowmatic conventional and had been installed for approximately 20 years. I did not know anything...
Do you guys powerflush before every boiler swap or only if the systems really dirty and manuel flush with a normal cleaner and not to dirty, as manufacures insructions state it just has to be cleaned not powerflushed.

HelloMy central heating system had a power flush done about 10 days ago as recommended by British Gas engineer who was called out as the F-E tank was receiving hot water that was being boiled. I suspected a faulty boiler thermostat but BG man said that either this type of stat works or it...
Just brought a 2nd hand C30 kamco power flush machine. Their website claims there is free training but it appears if the previous owner has registered the serial number then no one else is entitled to training. What a mean spirited "computer says no!" bunch of people Kamco is.

I think the time has come to buy a power flush machine, can any one recomend some?
I have found that it is hard to compete with BG and other larger firms for boiler installs and up grades as they throw in a power flush for next to nothing. I find the customer want a power flush more than the...
Some say do not power flush either of the combi heat exchangers in situ and some say it is OK.
I intend to put a pump adapter on a Bosch pump in a Worcester Combi 24CDi and first power flush the central heating system, including the central heating heat exchanger. Then isolate the flow and...
Hi, I have a problem with my Ideal Combination boiler, a mini C28. Over two weeks ago, the heating stopped working, the hot water was ok. When we switched on the heating, the gas would ignite for a few seconds only but then cut out, leaving a whirring noise in the boiler. After a few minutes the...
