cross
A cross is a geometrical figure consisting of two intersecting lines or bars, usually perpendicular to each other. The lines usually run vertically and horizontally. A cross of oblique lines, in the shape of the Latin letter X, is termed a saltire in heraldic terminology.
The cross in its various shapes and forms was a symbol of various beliefs. In pre-Christian times it was a pagan religious symbol throughout Europe and western Asia. In ancient times, the effigy of a man hanging on a cross was set up in the fields to protect the crops. The cross was even considered a male symbol of the phallic Tree of Life; thus it often appeared in conjunction with the female-genital circle or oval, to signify the sacred marriage, as in Egyptian amulet Nefer with male cross and female orb, considered as an amulet of blessedness, a charm of sexual harmony.
Hi,
I've got two toilets installed back to back either side of a stud wall, they are joined with a branch, which then flows to the stack and vent. When the further toilet is flushed, it causes the trap level in the near toilet to drop by half inch whilst the other completes the emptying...

I have a question regarding the connection of cooling pipes from an ice cream vitrina to the external aggregat, or motor that keeps it cool! sorry in advance, I am not a plumber by any means, so I am not sure of the technical terms but I will try to do my best

I am having problems with ceramic taps, the problem is leakage from tap spindle but it is a cross head and I cant find any way of removing tap head,no removable top no grub screw. I will post photos, any input would be welcome
I am trying to create the above design but am missing 2 different connecting parts. I have managed to obtain everything else as waste expansion connectors (which are easy to connect and disassemble for my purposes) in 40mm diameter.
The first thing I am missing is: Polypipe Solvent Waste Cross...
Dear Folks
Have a customer who has a monobloc sinktap which needs its valve changing - does anyone know a manufacturer that has a medieval cross as its logo - ie cross with equi-distant arms and leaf shaped at the end?
Many thanks

Let us say you are working in a large house and renewing a section of gas carcass.
Indeed,it need not be gas carcassing,it could just as easily be water piping of central heating pipework.
OK so you need to make a cut into a section of pipework.
One side is...
Just finishing off the refurb of our bathroom and having looked up what I think are the regs I'm no wiser.
House was professionally rewired throughout ten years ago and has modern RCD consumer unit. Before I did the bathroom plumbing, I got a sparky in after the plasterer had done his thing...
Hi,
Our cottage is about 100 yds from the road where the water company's mains supply reaches. Our water supply pipe (black, 3/4 ins rubber ?) then runs down to the house buried (deeply enough hopefully), alongside our drive.
Before it gets to the house though, it has to cross a stream, a few...
Can anybody clarify the regs relating to crossbonding. Just had new Vailant Ecotec Pro24 boiler fitted and getting conflicting info re crossbonding. Seems to depend on type of consumer unit?
Do you have to cross bond pipework under boiler if consumer unit comes up to 17th edition standard, can't seem to get a straight answer off anyone. Thanks.
Sparky mate of mine says if the house as new 17th edition consumer units you dont have to cross bond pipe work,is this right?he says easys way to tell if the unit has a yellow test button on it.
