checking
In computer programming, bounds checking is any method of detecting whether a variable is within some bounds before it is used. It is usually used to ensure that a number fits into a given type (range checking), or that a variable being used as an array index is within the bounds of the array (index checking). A failed bounds check usually results in the generation of some sort of exception signal.
Because performing bounds checking during every usage is time-consuming, it is not always done. Bounds-checking elimination is a compiler optimization technique that eliminates unneeded bounds checking.

Hi all,
I've got an Ideal Response boiler, about 10 years old. I tried a search on the forums (and google) but haven't found an answer to my question.
It's been in contract with British Gas Home Care for much of that time, and over that time I've twice had them out due to faults that turned...

I have been given a box of thermostatic radiator values bases (without the heads), the box has "Orkli 1/2" Ø 12÷20 (PER,Mult,PB); 12÷16 (copper) ref: 67490" marked on it. There are no instructions as to whether or not the valves are reversible- is there a way to visually confirm before we fit?
Good day to you fellers. I am trying to look for some info online on how to test free standing cookers with my kane asp2 kit. I can't seem to find any guidance on this?

Hi all, I've just bought a house (Horray!) and thought it would a be good opportunity to practise my plumbing skills.
I'm hoping to add a few radiators as some rooms don't have any.
I've got a Greenstar 24i junior from Worcester Bosch - It's got 24kw heat output if i've understood correctly...
I don't mind generally but just had a woman call:
'how much too do an outside tap'
I explained that I'd need to come around and have a look because no two are the same, how close is the water supply to be picked up, where you want it to go, pipe runs etc.
'Well its a bungalow'
I explained...

Hi
Is it possible to check a plumber's qualifications prior to him/her starting work? It's all very well telling me that they have an NVQ in this and that, but where's the proof? Are or will plumbers be required to carry a photo id card with details on showing where the customer can validate...

Today, I quoted for a basin mixer tap and waste replacement, the waste has a posh push pull thing at the rear of the mixer tap. It is a built in vanity unit and access is not going to be easy. I quoted £80 is this in the right ball park......
My theory is it should only take a couple of hours...
