I have a insurance job to try and rescue a poorly installed quad shower the customer wants to save the tiling if possible and has a few spare so fingers crossed it may work , the loss adjuster allowed em £1500 that will just about cover materials. Kop

We stayed up at Haggerston castle 2 years ago with the granddaughter as it's only a couple of hours away. Did Berwick, Holy Island but missed out on Alnwick and Bamburgh castles.
Nice countryside up there.

Today I finally closed the family newsagent after 78 years. Last night, I mopped the floor before going to bed and was feeling a bit mournful about it all. Then I tried to pay a bill using the stupid internet banking system they insist I use in Italy (I much prefer cheques), wasted ages on the computer, and finally got to bed after 10.30 and remembered exactly why I'm so keen to leave Italy and get back to plumbing.

Today I feel like I've served my sentence. Lots of magazines etc. to count and return tomorrow - it will be interesting to see how many titles I have in stock. My guess is around 700 (there was more in stock but the distribution firm hasn't supplied me with much in the last week or two as it knew we were closing).

Yes. The final count was closer to 600, by the way. Now (soon) I can go home. Today's job is sorting out books for return.

Combi conversion this week. Baxi Solo BF out and a Main Eco Compact 30kw in. Brick was best match we could find, cement hasn’t set yet in that photo

Excuse the wire too, old guys a retired electrician and he’s upgrading the board and putting in a fuse spur at the same time.

Does anyone else get concerned when the spreads come in about pipework getting knocked and kinked also doing full dabs behind boilers and rads etc ?

Yep
Can only hope they bend a pipe enough that water pees out all over them and they cant ignore it.

Yep
Can only hope they bend a pipe enough that water pees out all over them and they cant ignore it.

Yep tend to leave them at a higher pressure now

I have used it but it’s quite pricey.
I arrived with 3m of 22mm coated copper.
It was supposed to be a straight run and a chase made for me.

No chase, the island had moved and I don’t have another free day so I had to make it fit.
I used insulation as an extra layer of protection as the floor may be levelled with latex.

Definitely pricey but worth its weight. Just needs clipping otherwise it rises in the screed
