Hi,

Does anyone know where I can get a supply of replacement washers for Type B drain valves? I have asked in all my local merchants and no one has them, they are much smaller than the type A and I seem to be finding a lot that leak.

Travis Perkins has packs of drain cock washers in which you get half type A and half type B; I think it was 5 of each.

Did the bloke behind the counter wear a mask? TP imho are not the best on price by a long way.

No, just a beard. TP is the most expensive merchant within 20 miles of my house, but it is also the only one.

For the sake of 80 pence or whatever it was for 10 washers, I'd rather buy them than not and the OP sounded like he was fairly desperate.

if your desperate you could always just buy a new type b and take the washer out of it, there only about a £1 and toolstation sold type b last time I looked.

makes TP look cheap though now and a bit wastefull

I have loads of brass valves with no washers, it seems a complete waste. I will try travis as no one else seems to sell them which is very odd. thank you

Its either plumb centre or city plumbing that do the little bags of DOC washers where you get type a and b assorted.
