Hi lads/ladys,

new to the forum , would just like to know the best renewables training available, have been in the industry 16 years , but only got qualified 3 years ago after an employer sent me on a fast track(formal quals required for an internal contract with eneterprise) , the water regs is quite handy ,gas safe card is obviously great but the 6128 I obtained is pretty much useless without NVQ (so much so that if I went for an interview i would probabally not mention it , or I would certainly put it way down the list after experience , gas card etc !!!) , anyway this leads me on to my question , I am going to have to pay for renewables training myself , employer is flexible , but I dont want a mickey mouse set of qualifications, put into perspective my employer paid about 9 grand for the 6128 and the gas etc, so I want to know which are the best quals for the renewables industry , I currently work commisioning water pipelines as well as gas/plumbing internal so timeframe is not a problem as I am in employment full time i would rather do something over 2 years that was worth something than 6 weeks and have to leave it off my cv !!, I just want to move with the times and be well armed should the need arise, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
