Heatas had a design guide when I did a solid fuel course... It has all the wet & dry piping plans etc...

I've got a solid fuel job to price up. Is it OK if I just get building control in to sign off the wet side of the installation? Or do I even need to? The stove is existing and was installed by a Hetas engineer.

What's the system connected to? Are u qualified? G3 or unvented on GS? Need to submit building notice min of two days before u start so labc can have a look and a chat?

Haven't even won the work yet! Got to price it. Yes G3 qualified and registered, not that it's going on a unvented system.

It's a vented 750 litre thermal store. With more pipe tappings than you can imagine.

Anyway forget all that. I'm fitting the gas boiler to it, and I'm looking at plumbing up his existing woodburning stove to it, (it is designed for it) I won't go into details, but the stove gives out 11KW while still putting 5KW into the room. So the bloke can charge his thermal store up with his free timber.

My question is, do I need to inform BC about plumbing up a woodburning stove.

No it's already installed. Bit blurry tho as now it's a slightly different heating appliance? Do need to inform about store tho? Can't that be done via boiler and comp persons g3?

Not sure what the store falls under, as it's vented. I'll put some caveats in the quote, and see if I get the job. Cheers.
