Rusty screw removal advice

Good day fellow plumbers.

As the title says, what do you use to extract rusty screws from boilers? Vailliant and glow worm plates and the bottom screw on the diverter ?

And RS sell a range of screw extractor tools with fast delivery. Keep in mind that if the screw is 'rusty' the thread it screws into may be damaged as well so even if you get the screw out you may need to install a thread repair device, e.g.

and this may not work and/or be permitted inside a boiler depending on which part is involved. Better to replace the whole part than take a risk IMO.

Drill the head off if they strip and then heat it up and use grips to remove after you’ve removed item from the boiler

Thanks for the advice. Would be hard to get a drill bit long enough to drill the screw ro get the extractor in as it is in a nasty place.

The part I am referring to is plastic so not really wanting heat it.
