I have always used to pipe shears that you squeeze down and twist the pipe to cut. However I am thinking of buying the rothenberger plasticut waste cutters. What do people find the best?

Very good I use the Roth pipe slices

As above they are much better and easier to use. Just remember to put the guard back on

You use the shears on solvent waste ?

Best choice I've made for plastic pipes. The plastic cutters are very very good, clean cuts, safes times.

The slices are good
I got a full set from screwfix

I have the rocut shears they are ace, clean straight cut & blade is still sharp. Well worth the money & time saved over hacksaw. A colleague had the slice which came into its own in a tight space
Shears probably edge it due to fitting in the box, not having to carry round the set of slices

100% roth slice set, all three sizes in a kit. Precise straight cuts and you can get in tight spots and chop out. A bit hard to turn on certain pipes and watch your fingers on the blade. I think others have already said keep the blade guard in place. Expensive but really anice addition to tools.
