Today i was fixing a riello burner. The fault at hand was the capacitor do i changed it and it went but the flame kept cutting out once it ignited, so i took the photo cell out to clean it but after
i done that the fan just got stuck in a loop. So i would turn the burner on and the fan just started but nothing else happened and it didn't cut out. No power to soleniod and no spark.
I changed the control box and it was just doing the same thing. anybody else had this happen?

RDB.. but would the photo cell stop the burner from locking out if it were faulty? i suspected a faulty photocell in the first place.

Yes, faulty photocell can do that or cause intermittent start/stopping.

I would suggest photocell or stray light getting onto it making it think that it sees a flame.
