Hi, I am new to the forum, fairly competent at diy plumbing. Two years ago, I had a major extension build, which included changing to a pressurised hot water system. A PRV was installed, Reliance, I cannot identify the model. It has started overflowing, a persistent dribble, rather than a drip. I would be grateful for advice.

Unless it's a Megaflow you will need to employ a G3 qualified plumber to fix for you.

Doesn't matter how competent you deem yourself, it's illegal for you to touch this under part G3 of the building regs which are enforceable by law.

You need to get a G3/unvented qualified plumber in.

There are only 2 reasons why a PRV lets water past.

Someone with suitable training and experience would have no problem in identifying which and fully checking over the system to ensure it's safe.
