Does anyone know what a stainless steel sink that fixes to the bottom of a granite worktop should be glued/sealed with?
I have a customer who has his kitchen sink broke away from the granite and only a few metal brackets at sides and rear of sink are holding it. I am hoping to be able to do it myself.
Would clear Tec7 or similar do as good a job as what the kitchen fitters use?

Normally sits on a cut out of the unit and then they silicone around lip of sink before bedding granite down, what about making a timber frame underneath done that before for a ceramic sink

This one seems to just be glued onto the flat granite base and has a few metal brackets that have fixed bolts into the granite and wing nuts on them. The only part of the kitchen unit that is close below sink is the front horizontal piece.
I was thinking of putting a few temporary supports to hold the sink up tight until whatever sealant/glue I use cures.

sticks like ****

It is at a posh house, but a B&Q kitchen installed by B&Q with granite tops.
Good customer who pays well, so I would like to sort it properly for him.

CT1 or Sikaflex. If it's good enough to be used underwater on boats it's good enough for a sink. Make sure all the old stuff is removed & the parts de-greased though.

If the two surfaces are clean and flat. A good quality clear silicone will do. I've done a few, including my own. With no probs.
Needs propping overnight.

The base of the granite looks sort of a 'dry dull' finish, which is the surface I am concerned might not take adhesive. Somebody has used what looks like loads of clear silicone and I will have to remove the sink and clean both surfaces first.
