Vaillant controls - 160 time clock

Any one familar with Vaillant controls?
I am quoting to fit a Vaillant 418 Open vent and looking at available controls. Trying to keep it as simple as possible as I am not a fan of electrics.

Is the 160 time clock a good piece of kit when used with open vent boilers?

Never used vaillant controls for years as they are overly complicated for customers to work.

Depends on the client for the older generation I would go for a simple danfros programmer and analog rm stat
If there younger Honeywell programmable rm stat
Wouldn't use a plug in timer on a system boiler as they are far to complicated
Vaillant controls can get a bit complicated so would stay clear from them
