Hello!
Can a stub stack be upstairs ...?
Reading the building regs (H1) it states that the maximum distance from the invert of the drain to the highest branch of the "stub" stack is 2m.
This seems pretty clear, until I found a "stub" stack on the 2nd floor of a building fitted with a durgo which was 1m above the level of the toilet cistern (highest water level)....
I got very confused - very easily done !
Any clarity on this would be very much appreciated and thanks for your patience - slainte.

It was just a soil pipe with a durgo on, normally done for ease of installation rather than vent it.
