Anyone know who stocks flexible hoses for gas hobs (where MIs allow)
I disconnected one today on a new build that had strange looking orange hose that was leaking and realised I dont know what type of flexi is actually suitable for a hob

If there is a cooker underneath then it's needs hardpiping tbh

did the current hose come with the hob?

There wasn't a cooker below.
I didn't connect the hob but I don't think it came with the hose used from what they said

be on the safe side and just use copper pipe with something to isolate the supply if needed

A hob can be fitted with a standard cooker hose if it meets the manufactures instructions but if its orange they're usually the LPG ones?

I always do hobs on rigid pipework with a gas tap.

Lpg ones usually have a red stripe and a date stamped or a red sticker. never seen an orange cooker flex.

+1 more for copper with appropriate valve. I know some MI's allow it but it just doesn't seem right.

Was it solved?

Also if there is no oven underneath then it prob needs a barrier with an air gap. Check MI.

I left it capped off and haven't been back so I guess they got someone else to do it
