reduce
Reduce is a general-purpose computer algebra system geared towards applications in physics.
The development of the Reduce computer algebra system was started in the 1960s by Anthony C. Hearn. Since then, many scientists from all over the world have contributed to its development under his direction.
Reduce is written entirely in its own LISP dialect called Portable Standard Lisp, expressed in an ALGOL-like syntax called RLISP. The latter is used as a basis for Reduce's user-level language.
Implementations of Reduce are available on most variants of Unix, Linux, Microsoft Windows, or Apple Macintosh systems by using an underlying Portable Standard Lisp or Codemist Standard LISP implementation. It has also been translated into Julia.Reduce was open sourced in December 2008 and is available for free under a modified BSD license on SourceForge. Previously it had cost $695.
Hi all, I have a Vaillant Eco pro 28 and the water pressure is reading 3.3 bar and needs to be reduced. I have only under floor heating through out my house so it's not possible for me to drain via radiators.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hi,
My mother-in-law lives in a small chalet (converted outbuilding) next to my brother-in-law bungalow.
Her living room floor area is about the size of long box van. She has two double 5ft(?) radiators, one at each end of the room. Unfortunately, she keeps both of them off because she can't...
Hi all,
have fitted a new kitchen tap and separate hand spray and have found that the water pressure is very high so it splashes everywhere, so I'd like to reduce the flow whilst not reducing to the main tap.
each has one of those washing machine style valve taps before it reaches the tap...
A new tap has been fitted to a small cloakroom basin.
Tap is connected to mains water and if opened fully the water hits the side of the basin and slashes all over the place & onto the floor.
The tap is a BRISTAN ORTA Mixer.
Can a pressure or flow restrictor be fitted?
Is it a pressure or flow...
Hi - can you help?
We have 2 Crosswater Logic 1500 showers, fed by an Ideal+ 40 Combi boiler.
These were newly installed 2 years ago - all fine.
We had mains leak a few months ago - sometime after this was repaired, the en suite shower would start off hot then go lukewarm even when set to...

Hi,
all advice greatly recieved
I have a gravity fed non pumped hot/cold water supply to my bathroom
I am fitting a low pressure suitable 3 way diverter which will feed my bath filler a static shower head and a hand shower.
I will use the original water supply from my bath taps
These are 22mm...
The pressure is currently showing at 2 bar - is it OK to run it at this pressure, and if not how can I reduce the pressure (or is this a job for the engineer)? Many thanks.

I'm about to renew some old Alkalene plastic pipe that is either 3/4" or 22mm it supplies the house with cold water. Can I replace it with 15mm? All they have in the house is a bathroom with vented hot water and a kitchen with sink, dish washer and washing machine. There is no boiler in the house.
Morning
We're cracking on with the heating and DHW upgrade, and have now got the new unvented cylinder installed.
One of my biggest concerns previously was that the new system would not give as good a shower as the old pumped gravity system, but if anything, now that we've changed from gravity...

I'm thinking an airlock can only stop flow at taps.
Re-washered bath mixer tap the other day, gravity fed. Left job when hot started to come through.
They now tell me it's not coming out as fast as it did before. They say they had same problem last time they had work done and it was an airlock...
