Hi guys. In need of around 12 metres corrugated stainless tube for gas run. Anyone know of alternatives to trac pipe and where to purchase. Needs to be 28mm. I see screwfix do an inch one but on the installation manual looks like you need a special tool.
I'm a Worcester man, mostly due to the proper load compensation and built in weather comp on the wave and now easy control.
Is there another boiler/control combo that works so well together???
I know all about open therm but are there any controls and boilers that make GOOD use of the protocols...
Hi all,
Ive fit a cast iron radiator in my living room, at the flow and return there are two 11/4 to 1/2 reducing bushes, they're both dripping when the system is filled, I've wrapped the threads with a liberal amount of ptfe but to no avail, is they're anything else I could use?
It's becoming...
I've got a mixer tap in my bathroom that makes a noisy "whooshing" sound. It's worse when it's partially on (hot and/or cold).
After seeing other forums there is the suggestion the tap is for a low pressure system, opposed to my combi system.
I was wondering if there's an alternative to...
Hi, I have a customer that has a high flow 400 in a fairly large bungalow and it’s on its last legs, worchester have stopped making parts for it so time for a replacement, the customer doesn’t want a cylinder and would prefer a wall hung boiler but I’m getting a bit lost in choices, I’m...
Hi, We have moved to a house that has a Greenstar 37CDi combi gas boiler. This has a Worcester Digistat Optimizer wireless room stat.
To be honest I cannot work the thing however long I study the book.
Is there a simpler, compatable wireless unit I can install for this boiler by another...
Its on an outdoor oil fired Mistral boiler with a Riello RDB1 burner. The recommended nozzle is Delavan .55/80 degree W
In the Danfoss conversion chart it shows Delavan W alternative as Danfoss B, but in the Riello manual for the burner it shows the alternative as Danfoss type H-S.
Any ideas?!
Hi Guys,
I install between 15 and 30 boilers a year. I've always fitted Worcester's as I trust them implicitly, their technical helpline guys are brilliant, installation is easy and they have been reliable boilers.
However I am aware that they are among the most expensive brands and am looking...
Dudley concealed siphons are so expensive. My customer says that her's is a bit temperamental and the button is stiff. Whether to change the button and/or siphon? The current set up is around 16 years old. New button would cost £25. New siphon £35. It's a concealed low level toilet. Has anyone...
Most folk have heard of of shifters and adjustables etc but I was working with a lad last week and he jokingly referred to a it as Swedish key. I was crying with laughter
Hi I guess lots may already know this but I was a bit shocked looking at the ridiculous price of the 1476 flow switch folks might find it helpful to know that the Worcester 87161207400 which is brass bodied and half the price fits and works no problem. Not sure of connector matching but hey it...
I have been recently using quite a lot of multi panel but I have been massively let down by them and made to look a complete idiot as I started a bathroom thinking everything was in but now I keep getting promised that it will be in and it not turn up.
What other companies are around make good...
Hi everyone, this might be a bit of a strange question, but I'm looking for an alternative to small 'sacs' that are used in vintage pens to hold ink. I'd like to show pics but I'm not allowed, you can see what I mean by googling 'pen ink sac'.
The prices for these are ridiculous, and I need a...
i am planning to replace my 20 year old trusted oil burner for something more modern. i am unsure if i should install a riello RDB or a bentone/sterling burner ?? i have a boiler house casing, so anything should fit , space-wise. i am worried about blast tube size or if the distance from nozzle...
customer has a 3 year old c55, an absolute heap! what would you guys fit as an alternative? bearing in mind that most customers don't want low loss headers in their utility room?
all input/advice much appreciated
Evening all, looking for an alternative for the above 24hr mechanical timeclock, Drayton is pricy for a basic clock. Unable to change wiring box layout because of proximity to consumer box. Thanks.
I am adding a couple of radiators to my house and the boiler installation sheet (11 years ago) shows an inhibitor "Salmar". Anyone heard of this and what is its equivalent as I would like to add some inhibitor
