I need to swing out a 90 15mm copper fitting to fit a new radiator valve (marked 1 in photo).
Can I apply heat to the 90 degree joint to loosen the solder and pull the 15mm pipe
to the correct position so the valve fits the rad?
Anyone have any good tips on removing the chrome covers from an Axor Y tap.
There are no grommet screws etc and would like to try and not damage the chrome covers (but this looks unlikely).

I have to replace an old rad in a bathroom with a towel rad.
I can freeze the pipes but would prefer to use compression
than solder as only have 12 inches before freeze head.
Is it OK to use compression in such circumstances?
