    I think he has gone to the effort of drilling up to the tile from behind ,why not live the drill bit into the hole and with a metal detector point exactly where the drill bit is and drill the tile normally easy .

    I installed one today and straggled with the room thermostat .I have a Vaillant manual RT and it has three terminals L,N and a sun picture in the middle . Do you mean connect L,N to the boiler feed and the other one to RT trminal? Here is the manual on pdf page 29 is the wiring diagram ...

    copper is a precious metal and its getting very expensive ,plastic is a recyclable material and much cheaper . Just I hate the push fittings and this method its been used in Europe why not here,I know is used on mains Gas and Water why not in domestic!!!
