Went to service a baxi BBu today, boiler burner was cracked, boiler case was baddly chroded, every thing else was fine.
should have recomened a new boiler soon, or at leaset get a new burner. BUT customer is 84, his wife was up stairs dieing of cancer and you could see they had nothing, (charged £20.00 for service). Yes iam wrong for not saying any think, but what would you have done?
 
you could fix it with 20 rolls of ptfe though?:wink5:
All joking aside tho guys this isnt wright and you as site owners mods ect knowing this guy is GSR and having his detales shoud be informing the right people as he hasnt done his job!!!

He has time to correct this however it would be silly to do that and pdra him through the dirt.

One of the biggest functions of the UKPF is education in one form or another. Much the same a gassafe. They will only prosecute as a last resort. The op made a mistake, he knows that, his posting was a confession, he's been advised accordingly and I hope he heeds said advice.

just a thought but go round tonight, turn off gas, then when you get call in morning explain it is an irreplaceable part and boiler will need replacing. just hope they call you and not someone else.
 
Unfortunately in this game there is no room for sentiment. Even more if you are gas safe. I always find that you get shafted when trying to do a favour or be the good Samaritan. You know the score and I'm sure you will do the right thing for you and them.

Wind yer neck in and give the boy a chance to sort it out.....i'll bet there are alot of us on here who have had a re-think about a situation they have left and gone back to put it right.....this is a happy house with help and opinions on tap for us all to learn from......as for grassing him up......you sure your not a tiler?
