Hi

I am replacing a damaged part of my household soil pipe base and some of the salt-glazed pipe.
I have bought some FloPlast pipe and couplings from Screwfix but am now a bit worried by some of the posts on here regarding FloPlast being cheap and not to be trusted.

I am not a professional but fairly competent but this is my first go at doing some underground waste.

Is the general consensus to avoid FloPlast?

regards
Jon

They're cheap for a reason!

Stick with quality makes.

What about Marley products?

I cannot see any underground drainage pipes or connections on the McAlpine site so assume their stuff is for above ground only.

Marley better than FloPlast?

I have installed some floplast fittings & soil stack, I found them to be just as good as other makes at double th price!

Just install it well, grease all rubber seals, cut & deburr pipe etc, support it well in the ground also!

Avoid Floplast like the plague. Everything they make is cheap tat and fails quicker than the decent brand names. This is one area where you get what you pay for. The only thing they make that I do rate is their AA rated air admittance valves.

Oh and avoid their push fit plumbing systems, they leak like a flood in the Southern Counties.
