Just thought I'd quickly check in to see what you guys have been up to lately.

Any decent jobs you've done? Moved house? Been on holiday? Bought any new tools? New van? Got a new job? Finished training? Found a new employee?

Fill us all in. :)

Keep it polite and clean lads and ladies, this is in a public forum.

Just moved house and spending a lot of time playing cardboard castles with the kids

Takes the mind off all the other more important but equally boring jobs to do......like setting up the office or hanging clothes up.

I have seperated from my wife after 30 years, completed my first ironman, got a tattoo, moved house and swam a 10km race in the river Dart. Work wise I'm just finishing a wet room in London.

Thinking I might get into web hosting as I've got a few acorn electrons and a dial up connection ?

my big 50 this yr so I was treated by the family, a trip consisting of me a bike and sometimes a car across the USA and into Canada, 8 weeks of freedom just me and myself to worry about got back 20th sept
back too earth with a bump and reality, managed to tick several things of the bucket list :)

Hi,

Just been doing all the usual stuff.
My son has started his gas apprenticeship with me, which is good for us all. He is training at the Steve Willis centre in Portchester, Portsmouth. Always nice to have a helping hand.

Took the summer off (more or less, stopped home for the odd top up of cash) and toured all around Scotland and Northern England in a caravan seeing places i never knew existed.
Probably the best year of my life.

You have been missed young man, glad you have been enjoying a well earned rest

Replaced old Baxi boiler with a new Vailant combi. Got rid of the hot and cold tanks and all the pumped shower kit. It all works fine and gas consumption has gone done hugely. The showers don't deliver as much water as before but we are getting used to it. The only problem that I had to do away with the water softener. This reduced the flow to the boiler by about 40% which was just too much. Now have in-line magnetic conditioner on the boiler input. I'm just hoping this is going to be effective. We are in a very hard water area. Nothing else to report. Just keeping out of trouble.

Hi da I have recently finished my nvq2 in plumbing and half way through nvq3, I got my van and am I'm currently in the process of setting up my own business

Hi ive been registered on here for a while but never really posted.

Ive been working as a contractor for British Gas for the past year also running my own business which has been a bit slow over the summer.

I got married and split up within 15months which has been a big waste of money. But a lesson learnt

Saw a tramp having a wee last week, and a big fox jumped out of our wheelie bin...

Working late so invested in new lights.
