As the title says changed a Fan on an old Glowworm today as old one had completely seized. It now seems that the external timer/control panel isn't working. I know tenant so no reason to lie says that it worked fine before the breakdown. Can the seized fan have caused electrical damage to the panel? Ch works but not HW

any thoughts

Unlikely. Coincidence. There are only 365 days in a year, the odds that two parts break on the same day are not that low.

What size fuse to isolate boiler. If someone say had a 13amp fuse in spur, the amperage from the fan could've done the clock. A lot of those timers are only good for maybe 5 or 6 amps load. Just a thought

May be incorrect main fuse at spur. If the fan motor blew at may have taken other components with it.
