just a quick one can i register my-self with Gas Safe as well as being on the register for another business??

You can register privately yeah providing you meet the criteria, insurances etc. But who paid for your ticket? Your employer may not be too impressed.

Yes you can I have 2 registrations, my company only done contract work so didnt bother too much about me doing private jobs

You also need to register self employed and then become responsible for paying tax etc yourself for your work you do for yourself (if that makes sence).

And you need to check whether your contract, if you have a written one, prevents you from "competing "with your employer.

you dont need insurance to join GSR, yes you need to meet the criteria, which is have ACS and £438
