Hi, i have a Heatline Monza 24 combi boiler.
Came back from holiday today to find the boiler has a p1 message on the control box / window. It responds to a call for hot water and heats the radiators a little but not as much as when we went on holiday.
The boiler was left on timer for the 2 weeks we were away.
Strangely, the boiler on / off switch doesnt work and it doesnt allow an increase or decrease in either the hot water or central heating thermostat on the control box.

I have tried switching on / off but the problem persists, equally have tried the reset but the problem persists.
No Fxx warning messages displayed.

thanks in advance for any help or guidance. I am a complete novice so anything more than a change in the controls will mean i will need to call out an expert, but a diagnosis would be great.

To be fair to the chap it is confusing what section your in sometimes, I've gone to post in the "non gas safe gas safe section" sometimes and only clocked it because the poster hasn't got a gas safe badge.

Why is there two sections anyway? What's the point?

the only things that get posted in the "non gas safe gas safe section" are "please contact a gas safe engineer"

couodnt this section be done away with? After all, boiler advice is never going to be given anyway.
