Dont know if any of you guys have seen a spanner made by King Dick that is for 15mm and 22mm compression fitting nuts? Basically it is a cross between a ring spanner and open ended spanner so it would slide over the pipe and down onto nut. Its very handy for hard to reach nuts. A bloke in work...

What do you use for undoing tap backnuts when they're recessed in shapes on the underside of baths and basins that make them difficult to get at? I've seen various things on market.
I have is a basin wrench like this...
Which never seems to fit any flipping backnut. All I use it...
used these sets before but can't reecall any problems.
I am using a reducing set as I need to come off a 22mm elbow. Obviously the 22mm end is no problem. With the 15mm do I just tighten up ? The olive will make a seal on the 15mm pipe. Do I need to do anything else to ensure a seal with the...

Hi All,
I wonder if you can advise me again:confused:, We have just had our Central heating boiler changed,by my now new plumbers when I asked if they could change some taps whilst they were here, they offered to do it whilst changing the boiler.
Well it was a bit of a bloody awful...
Just wondering if it's worth spending the £45-£50 on some jaw droppers. I just don't seem to be able to get the back nuts up tight enough with my normal basin spanner. Does anyone here use them and are they better. They get good reviews on screwfix.

I have a mixer tap in the kitchen of a property I'm letting which has just started to play up. Whereas before the mixer moved easily side to side it has now locked up so that the whole unit moves. This has loosened the unit at the base and knowing absolutely nothing about plumbing I'm not sure...

Right, been using copper 22mm & 15mm to add DHW/CH to my house and have been using yorkshire fittings.
I've come to a spot that I reckon would be really hard to use yorkshire fittings with - what are the options ?
Basically it's under a suspended wooden floor that I can wriggle under but...

Currently using the 6" Amtech Adjustables, they open to 1 and half inches but are not good at holding their width and are a little chunky.
Anyone recommend a pukka pair?

Can anyone suggest how I can hold a service valve which is behind a plastic waste pipe ? There is no room to get in with normal grips and I can't cut the waste as there is already a joint at that point. I think I can get at the nut which needs to come off with a tap spanner but don't see how to...

We all know that the standard tap backnut box spanner wont fit the brass 1/2" backnuts it just slips.
I've got round this problem by hammering down the end into an elongated hex shape, this provides a snug fit for the 1/2" brass nuts (new & old).
Then buy another backnut box spanner for the...
