Good evening chaps. Hope you are all having a nice bank holiday.
I have got to go and look at my 1st one of these boilers tomorrow. I have read the posts on here mentioning how bad they are. From what they say it sounds like the phex is blocked. But do you tell the custard how bad the boiler...

I have an isar and had them for repairs but I'm going to throw a logic in so not needed.
Was out to an isar he24 a couple of days ago after it leaked (lots) from what I thought was the plate lip seals.
Went back yesterday with a washer kit and replaced all 4 lip seals and then noticed the hot pipe O ring was weeping so changed that as well. All was good or so I thought.
Just got...
It's one of those fault codes that ideal don't have in their MIs!! I did have one before, but can't for the life of me remember how I fixed it, it's an intermittent fault and the customer can get by, by reseting the boiler.
Any thoughts?
Door off! Checked condense which was clear, checked flue which was clear. Took off burner and checked probes which were fine!
It's gotta be an air flow problem....would a dodgy fan cause this?
Cheers lads
Has anyone removed the phe on an Isar HE35 out through the front of the boiler ?
The one I've got to do has a stand off kit with all the pipework nicely blocking off any chance of getting it out the back, I think the 35 has a bigger phe than the other models as well.
cheers blod
Hi there,
My boiler is a Ideal Isar HE30 and over the past month or so I've been noticing a leak from inside our boiler. The pressure drops to well below 1 which makes the central heating not work properly upstairs, if we top up the water pressure it leaks faster.
I downloaded the boiler...
Landlady claimed it has been serviced every year and gas safe cert every year, cannot produce any evidence of service
records for either, landlady getting irate on the phone as i said i will have to report this to gas safe as putting the tenants
life at risk.
Tenant has been there 5 years...
Hello

To cut a long story short, today a plumber/engineer came to fix a water leak which turned out to be the 'o rings' of...

Hello
My boiler is being a twit, and unfortunately I am not clever enough to solve the problem.
The L-F fault according to the manual something to do with the flame detector...so I replaced that.
Same L-F fault....no difference.
(I'm freezing!)
So...I read through some of these...
Hi all ,got a noisy 5 year old Isar 30 he combi to look at this weekend ,every couple if minutes it sounds like someone is drilling then it goes quite for a minute then starts up again...anyone know what this is likely to be or known problems with these.....only does this after it's warmed up...
Had the privilege today to work on one, loud bang on firing up noticed lot of gurgling from plume diverter so as suspected blocked trap and it was well and truly blocked lots of poking and boiling water to clear.
Anyway removed access plate bottom of heat exchanger cleaned out, Boiler fired up...

Had to change a pump on an Isar, apparently you can only change the whole manifold now or something. So drained boiler and removed pcb for easy access.
Fitted all back together and I'd put the power in the wrong block. Blew the pcb. Fail number 1.
Put a new pcb on, got a variety of error...
