i need to drill a tap hole into a marble work top. Not sure what size though. have just bought a mixer tap with 10mm tails etc but no threaded flange to take a measurement from. Are all basin holes the same size, 30mm?

i couldnt believe it, only had the damn thing 6 months and while i was drilling through the timbers in a stud wall it just started piling smoke out the vents with a very plasticy burning smell :S. took it home charged it up and it seems fine now,
