Ideal classic sensing point cap not pn 171505

Wondering if anyone knows the part number for the old black sensing point cap on an ideal classic ff260? Ideal don't and the new white cap doesn't fit. It's the model with the blue pipe leading to a fitting that screws into the box. Looked everywhere and seems a shame to I.d. The boiler when I'm...

new and trying to get added to GSR status

Hi I joined the forum last week and read that i needed to send "gas man" a private message with my GSR number. I did so but have heard nothing? Im wanting to get onto the forum where I can see issues other have encountered and advice given rather than people trying to get a diy fix in the...

    Soggy Ceiling

    Yorkshire 3/8" plastic pipe

the fitting that was recommended was a kuterlite 1710kp is a compression imperial to metric connector. But i used a philmac UTC fitting that you would see on the shelf in plumb center. Is like an mdpe connector but can be used on the majority of pipe material and adjusts from 15-21mm

    Yorkshire 3/8" plastic pipe

so if you were to go to a property where this had split you would go through the process of ordering the parts then fitting, leaving for 24 hours and then going back to test? or would you use a different fitting?

    Yorkshire 3/8" plastic pipe

im glad i wasn't around when sizing made no sense at all. Am i right to assume to jointing method is using cleaner first and then the solvent

    Yorkshire 3/8" plastic pipe

its says yorkshire 3/8" on the fitting. Apparently the company that used to make it back when there was a copper shortage (before my time) it was used then. best way to describe it is it looks like a thicker grey version of condense pipe just a little smaller

    Yorkshire 3/8" plastic pipe

It was mains cold water and it measured about 17mm. It confused me as like you say 3/8 is meant to be about 10mm

    Yorkshire 3/8" plastic pipe

I have been doing plumbing and heating for 11 years since leaving school and this week I came across this pipe for the first time and severely struggled to find anyone who knew what i was on about when ringing around for a fitting. If you are unaware of the pipe its a dark grey colour and...
