Update after scratching my head for several hours. Decided to measure up for a new gas carcass found a hidden secondary ecv behind the couch in the lounge practically shut.
Just wanted to get something right in my head. Working on a vaillant Eco tec pro getting no gas faults f28 f29. I have 22 mbar standing pressure at gas valve when boiler attempts to fill I get a full drop on my gauge. 22mbar standing pressure at meter drops 1 mbar when boiler attempting to fire...
Just wondered if anybody could help. Pump runs then fan starts cuts out, starts cuts out and carries on like that. No sparking. It was a late job going back tomorrow think aps or pcb. Checked Venturi was ok. Just wondered if this was a common fault. Cheers.
I work on Eco tec pro's a lot always been the pcb when con displayed replaced one today. Never noticed the pressure difference between gauge and digital before.
If your friend has fitted the fan check the casing has not pulled the clip on thermostat off. Had a job not so long ago overheating since serviced and that was the problem. Worth a check.
Had a similar noise on a vaillant Eco tech pro tried flushing ended up replacing main heat ex, noise gone. Not sure how much warranty you get on vaillant main heat ex.
Just to update turns out I was given the wrong part. I was given a flue stat instead of a flue fuse which are identical. Had me scratching my head for a bit.
