Strange patches of water on kitchen floor

Pull the fridge freezer out and see if its wet in the bottom of the back of it. Are the seals ok on the doors and the drain hole in the fridge compartment clear? If you ram the fridge full of shopping then it can cause excess moisture in the fridge which will need to escape somewhere. You...

    22, 15 & 10mm Rad Pipes

I have to replace pipework to a few rads as the 10mm is buried in the plaster which I dont want to have skimmed over and then wait for it to pin hole. Also they are fed up through the eaves too so i dont fancy waiting for them to freeze. I wanted to replace the 10mm where i could in 15mm by...

    Honeywell cm907 room thermostat.

Might be worth a look on ebay, the bids on this one were only £5.97 when I posted this. Look at this on eBay Honeywell CM907 Digital Combi Boiler Room Thermostat / Programmer | eBay I had the same problem with my wireless version screen. Mine was under 2yrs old though so Honeywell sent me a...

    22, 15 & 10mm Rad Pipes

I was wondering if i would need to get into balancing.:( Thanks for the quick reply. Maybe a rethink then although i will still need to get out and replace the 10mm from the plaster before it pin holes and leaks.

    22, 15 & 10mm Rad Pipes

The loft space is pretty tight at 4ft max at the apex hence why 10mm has been used previously to make it easier to feed up/down deep in the eaves.

    22, 15 & 10mm Rad Pipes

No, 6 rads will stay on the existing 10mm drops and 4 will be changed to 15mm if its ok?

    22, 15 & 10mm Rad Pipes

Hi all. I just wanted to know what effect, if any, it will have on my combi heating system replacing some of the 10mm pipes to my rads with 15mm? Its a bungalow and the boiler is piped up to span most of the loft in 22mm. This is then stepped to 15mm and then to 10mm for the drops down to the...

Leak on toilet inlet with new fill valve

Have you only tightened it finger tight then with you saying you cant get tools in there? They always leak if not tightened enough. Could you get to it with one of these? Adjustable Basin Wrench Personally i would remove the cistern, tighten the inlet and then replace. Or, cut the copper...

Leak on toilet inlet with new fill valve

Rather than mess about cant you take the inlet back and swap for one that isnt defective? Ive found they always leak if only hand tight so i always nip them up with a spanner or grips. The plastic back nuts can strip their threads easily though if you over tighten. I replace them fairly...
