Hi
Our outdoor garden taps do not work, to be fair we haven't used in years, but would like to start using it for gardening projects. No water comes out of the tap at all. How can I switch it on, our mains is on as we have running water inside the house
Thanks
Hi everybody
We currently have an issue with our outdoor tap (possible issue with the check valve-not overly urgent and I’m not confident enough to start a repair job myself in the current climate).
Due to the dry weather I am keen to keep the garden watered and have managed to get a hold of a...
I am hoping that this pump will work for an outdoor rain water shower that I am currently setting up outside on our balcony. I contacted the company to ask for advise on this but they haven't responded. If this won't work do any of you know if there is another pump that will work?

Hi, I'm fitting an outdoor sensor on my VIESSMANN 100 30KW B1KC. The wiring is finished, just need to know can I fit the wires any way around or is there a specific way to the 3 and 4 terminals connected to the sensor.
Anyone know?
Cheers
I opened the isolation valve to my outdoor tap today after several weeks but no water came out of it. I opened it to see the hole blocked with some sort of white plastic disc. I pushed it opened and fitted back the tap and all was fine.
Is this white plastic bit part of the non-return valve...
This is the side of my circa 30s house. You can see:
A. CHS drain off valve
B. Mystery pipe
C. Mystery pipe terminating into concrete, causing D. Big puddle (not labelled as pretty apparent!)
This leak happens when CHS is called, boiler pressure ultimately drops to near zero after 5-7 days. It...
Hi. My outdoor tap is leaking from one, possibly two places. I think it is mainly leaking from the bottom joint indicated by the arrow in the photo. Please can anyone advise how I can fix? Many thanks

I have an outdoor, aboveground oil tank for heating the house. We recently had some work done and the tank was moved. Now however, I want to move it back. It's only a meter or so that it needs to shift. I’ve run it down so that it’s almost empty and shouldn’t have any problems lifting it with a...

Hi Moving my outdoor boiler and boiler house. I'm moving it around to the other side of my house and out a bit into the garden. I've the trench dug out and I'm ready to go this weekend but I'd like some advice before I start to drain and dismantle the boiler.

if a system has a heat pump as the primary heat source for both hot water and underfloor heating, and a gas boiler as a back-up if the heat pump becomes overwhelmed, how do you wire it all together so the boiler only kicks in when the heat pump isnt coping

Hi Guys,
Just looking for some info.
I installed an outdoor garden tap recently. I turned it on today and the water seemed to come out with a yellowish colour but only for a second or two then normal.
I used copper pipe for the installation. Was under the impression that copper does not rust...
I'm having some major landscaping work done to the garden and I want to take the opportunity to put in a permanent water supply to a polytunnel (for growing veg), which will be installed at the end of the garden.
The garden is about 30m long, with a slight uphill gradient away from the house...
Hi,
I moved into my house which had a pre-existing outdoor tap, but the water flow is terrible and i'm led to believe this is down to a self cutting tap only cutting a tiny hole.
I am looking for a plumber to change this to a T connection, outdoor tap is directly behind the sink on the...

Looking for the cheapest quote possible to have an outside tap fitted.
The kitchen sink is next to the outside wall where the tap will be placed, so not much of a big job! Just a hole drilling right through etc.
If you provide the fittings, thats no problem.. but I can get all the kit for £10...

Hi all,
I was called out to fix an outdoor tap last week - it had a pinhole leak on the metal on the backplate. I simply fitted a new backplate, and put the original tap back on (at the request of the customer, who didn't see the need to spend £8 on a new tap).
I also advised him that the...
