hi guys got a customer with the above boiler heating fine when showering water running hot then cold is it common for heat exchanger to scale up on this model or could it just be thermistor not attended yet but going tomoz to have a look thanks

check thermistor, water could crossflow anywhere

Thermister is a lot cheaper than a plate hex Probably worth taking one along IMO

Try the sensor dry b4 u fit it. If it doesnt fix it then you can take it straight back out and it hasn't touched a drop off water.

Whilst it could be the sensor, statistically its much more likely to be a blocked plate ( or non return valve ).

Doing a thermal survey on DHW will diagnose the problem non invasively!

As suggested try a loose NTC first as that takes seconds.
