Looked at a fire install today and dithering on roughly how much to charge labour,

The house has had a new combi boiler installed recently but the back boiler is still in place behind fire , so works include removing old backboiler along with existing fire and fire surround.Customer has a new fire along with fire surround which they have asked me to install after removing old .Wouldnt normally bother with doing jobs like this but needs must at mo so was thinking a labour figure of £240 ish ,,,, anyone think that sounds about right???

whatever your day rate is,
but thats what i would charge maybe less 20%.

It should only take you a 1/2 shift to do but that is irrelevant. You are not far away at that.

£240 day rate, is £30/hour, sounds reasonable.
We really shouldn't work for less, taking in our qualifications/renewals our rates should be more than Plumbers.
Don't forget you've got to register it. It's not just the fee, it's the time & reasonsibility to the installation afterwards.
